The Aniston effect
Out of all the Friends star, it was Jennifer Aniston who was able to get into the Hollywood A list, it cannot be denied that her ex-husband, phenomenal matinee and sex symbol, Brad Pitt, helped in boosting her popularity. Granted, Aniston is an okay actress herself, but she lacks that certain X-factor which most A-list starlets have. In a way, this worked well for Aniston, her “average” appeal actually made her the most bankable movie star to play roles of girls next door or regular wives. Despite the appeal though, Aniston is more than regular, her rise to stardom is note worthy. She started in modeling and eventually got the big break in Friends. Today Aniston is playing roles that are way beyond stereotype, a bold and remarkable move, but nevertheless one that is yet to be acknowledged by award giving bodies.
